YarnHub tracks what you own, what you are making, and what is left of each ball. It also translates yarn weights and needle sizes between the US, UK, and Australian systems, so a pattern from anywhere is readable wherever you are.
What it does

Stash
Every ball you own, with what is left of it. Scan a barcode and the brand, fibre, and weight fill themselves in, and you add the colourway and the dye lot.
Catalogue
A shared database of yarns across many brands. Search by brand, fibre, or weight, and add straight to your stash from a result.
Projects
Pattern PDFs render in the app and take your markup. Each project keeps its own row counter, so several works in progress never lose their place.
Tools
Gauge, yardage, and sizing calculators that read from your stash rather than asking you to retype what you already recorded.
Community
A feed of what other crafters are making. Post a finished object, see what a yarn actually looks like worked up before you commit to it.
Offline
Your stash and projects are cached on the device. Yarn shops have bad signal, so the app keeps working and syncs when you are back.
The same yarn has three names
The same yarn is worsted in the United States, aran in Britain, and 10-ply in Australia. Needle sizing is worse still. UK sizes count downward, so UK 8 and US 6 are the same 4mm needle.
YarnHub stores every weight and tool size in a neutral internal format and renders it in the system you set. Change your region and the whole app follows. Nothing is re-entered, nothing is converted destructively.
