Projects and row counters

A project is one thing you are making. It links the pattern you are following to the yarn you are using from your stash, and keeps your progress in one place.

Starting a project

Tap New project and give it a name. From there you can:

• Attach a pattern PDF. Patterns render natively in the app, so you can read them without switching to another viewer.
• Assign yarn from your stash. Linking the yarn means the amounts you use can be tracked against what you own.
• Set a target. Optional, but useful if you are working to a deadline.

Reading patterns

PDFs open in a built-in reader. You can mark up the pattern directly: highlight the size you are working, circle a stitch count, or strike through the rows you have finished. Your markup is saved with the project and stays put between sessions.

The row counter

The row counter is deliberately simple: a large tap target to increment, a smaller one to correct a mistake, and a reset.

Because it is attached to the project rather than being a standalone tool, you can have several projects on the go and each keeps its own count. Nothing to remember, nothing to reset by accident.

Counts sync across your devices, so putting a project down on your phone and picking it up on the web app keeps your place.

Finishing up

Marking a project complete keeps it in your history rather than deleting it. Your notes, the pattern, and the yarn you used all stay attached, which is genuinely useful the next time you make the same thing, or when someone asks what yarn you used.
